If on the one hand, technology and experience suggest the best solutions to overcome the most common technical problems of shotgun mechanics, on the other it is only thanks to top ranking manufacturing skills that our products were and continue being awarded widespread praise and appreciation.

As a result of our intensive Research and Development Program, we use the latest technologies and materials for our products. We believe that our focus on technical innovation is one of the key elements of our success, ranking F.AI.R.^® 2nd among Italian over-and-under manufacturers.

Our state-of-the-art production facility in Marcheno includes several highly flexible production lines, enabling us to manufacture rifle-barreled guns alongside the more traditional smooth-bore models.

Ungulates and haired game hunters appreciate the high quality of F.A.I.R.^® products, since these guns are manufactured with the same technology we have long been using and improving to produce our smooth-bore shotguns.

Design plays the major role in the production process. Our Design Department uses advanced CAD/CAM systems to develop and organize the interaction of the different mechanical components, simulate their dynamics and understand the resulting effects and all possible implications. Each mechanic component is scientifically and rationally designed in compliance with all mechanical and physical requirements.

Our manufacturing process is performed by advanced CNC machine tools, ensuring perfect compliance with our design specifications.

The manufacturing expertise accumulated over forty years of top quality production of Over/Under shotguns has enabled us to achieve an important goal in 2012: the official presentation of the “ISIDE” Side by Side shotgun range.

Our return to the production of Side by Side shotguns was defined by the press “as an educational example of constructive revolution in the mass production of side by side shotguns” and has the important merit of having reinterpreted a classic of weapon-making in a modern way marking the true return of side by side shotguns, confirming F.A.I.R.^®’s vision of “Tradition and Technology”.

This shows how the traditional hand working of our skilled craftsmen, precious inheritance of artisan schools developed inside the ancient workshops of our territory, continues to play a major role, in harmonic symbiosis with all the most advanced means offered by inexhaustible technological progress. This symbiosis is the essence of F.A.I.R.^® reality: an industrial company able to maintain its handicraft approach, its production care and refined taste as consolidated methods of production.

Quality controls and tests start since the earliest stages of production. Systematic dimensional and metallographic checks are performed before the final test at the Italian National Proof House in Gardone Val Trompia, where all smooth bore shotguns are tested in compliance with current C.I.P. (Commission Internationale Permanente pour l’Epreuve des Armes à Feu portatives) regulations.
