In production managing, designing obviously plays the major role, and our Designing Department makes use of advanced CAD-CAM systems that make it possible to optimize kinematic motions of all the components by simulating and checking their dynamics and resulting effects.

Each mechanic component is scientifically and rationally designed, in compliance with all mechanical and physical requirements. The task of respecting tolerances due to the need to obtain perfect matching of all the parts in compliance with designers’ specifications is carried out by modern numerical control machines.

The high level of standardisation offered by these complex working units makes it possible to manufacture fully interchangeable parts, thus easing assembling and maintenance operations.

Low-roughness machine finishing is the starting point for all hand-made finishing and setup operations, that are perfomed on all shotguns, regardless their different final positioning on the market.

Then, alongside with all the means supplied by inexhaustible technological advances, more traditional hand working, precious inheritance of artisan schools of ancient workshops, never stops being performed, in harmonic and profitable cooperation.

Testing operations start since the earliest production stages of each component.

Systematic dimensional and metallographic checks are performed before the final test at the National Proof House for portable firearms in Gardone Val Trompia, where all smooth-bore shotguns are tested at 1370 Bars and all rifled-bore guns are tested in compliance with C.I.P. regulations.

All F.A.I.R.® shotguns are equipped with prime quality wood parts that are assembled to action bodies by careful embedding.

Our production ranks from standard pieces, whose quality is adequate to give our clients upmost satisfaction, to precius custom-made shotguns: in this case finishing, mechanics and engraving are exclusive, thus contributing to obtain special pieces that will show, as time goes by, craftman and artistic skills originating in the old history of Val Trompia.
